That turret could be a set for a scene at Hogwarts!!
Looking at your wonderful photo makes me wonder about the many people who have looked out through all those windows over the many years this building has existed.
I love the old blackened stone, the garret windows at the very top, and there even seems to be a small balcony high up.
Why b/w works "better" for historical images is interesting to contemplate - it seems the history of what's shown in the image is reflected - or magnified - by using a "historical" process.
