My looking and shopping day.
When I’m photographing subjects I’m not looking at them.
Does that make sense? Probably not.
What I mean is that I am checking composition, apertures, speeds, iso settings…… looking through the lens…
My favourite piece of the show was a very minimal “quilt” by Clare Benn.
A detail of the piece:
I did shop too, more sari pieces for the kitchen blinds, some Steff Francis threads, paper from Art Van Go, plain fabric and threads from Empress Mills.
No fat quarters or any type of patchwork fabric.
Only a shift dress pattern from the Eternal Maker and chambray denim fabric.
I must get to making it soon...
