Its August 14th.
Cold and wet enough to wear wellies, barbour jacket and a scarf (practical as well as pretty).
The hills were hidden in mist and rain.
The field was too muddy to get the car into.
It was cold enough that I could see my breath in front of my face (at 11am).
I think summer has died up here.
Was it Glanton Show today Helen? The weather was OK here today, but I do agree that summer seems to have departed. :(
ReplyDeletePray for an Indian Summer in September, then!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope the sun shining here in the Borders today made it down to Northumberland too! Was the judging fun?
ReplyDeleteHi Helen
ReplyDeleteSummer never came to me here in deepest, darkest Devon on the edge of Dartmoor. It has given me nothing but grey murk, cloud and rain, so you are not alone in deepest, darkest Northumberland! Love the blog. Keep smiling - the sun WILL shine again. Karen
NOOOOOO!! don't say that the removal van departs Bristol next week to deliver up there !!!
